Retail Inventory
Manager Stock Centers
Use this guide when one tenant has multiple branches, stores, or stock centers and each manager should only work on assigned inventory.
Before you start
- Log in with an administrator account.
- Create the stock centers first from Retail Inventory if they do not already exist.
- Create or confirm the manager's Acel user account.
Assign stock centers to a manager
- From the main Acel dashboard, click Admin.
- Click Users.
- To create a new manager, click New User. To update an existing manager, click Edit on that user's row.
- Fill in or confirm the user's First Name, Last Name, and Email.
- In Access roles, click the checkbox for Manager. Use RetailAdmin only when the user should have broader retail administration access.
- Find Managed stock centers.
- Click the Stock centers dropdown.
- Select each branch, store, or stock center this manager should control.
- Click outside the dropdown to close it.
- Click Save or Update.
- Ask the manager to log out and log in again before using Inventory. This refreshes the manager's stock-center access.
Confirm the manager sees only assigned centers
- Log in as the manager user.
- From the main dashboard, click Retail.
- Click Inventory.
- Click the Stock centers tab.
- Confirm the list shows only the stock centers assigned by the administrator.
- Click Stock on hand.
- Confirm item center balances and total stock reflect only the assigned centers.
- Click Stock journal and confirm movements shown are from assigned centers only.
Post a sensitive stock change
- In Retail, click Inventory.
- Click the action needed: Adjust stock, Stock take, or Replenish.
- Select only a stock center assigned to the logged-in manager.
- Enter the quantity, reference, and reason required by the action.
- Click the final action button, such as Save adjustment, Post stock take, or Move stock.
- When prompted, enter a valid manager approval code.
- Confirm the action completes and appears in the Stock journal.
The manager approval code confirms the final stock action. It does not decide what the manager can see. Stock-center visibility comes from the logged-in user's administrator-assigned stock centers.
