Price Lists and Discounts

Use this guide when a business sells the same product at different approved prices or needs controlled discounting.

Create a price list

1. From the main dashboard, click Retail.
2. Click Settings, Price Lists, or Pricing.
3. Click New Price List.
4. Enter the price list Name, such as Retail, Wholesale, Staff, or Branch Promo.
5. Select whether the price list is active.
6. Click Save.

Add product prices

1. Open the price list you created.
2. Click Add Product or Add Price.
3. Select the product.
4. Enter the approved selling price for that list.
5. Repeat for every product that should have a special price.
6. Click Save.

Create a discount rule

1. In Retail, click Settings or Discounts.
2. Click New Discount.
3. Enter the discount Name.
4. Select whether the discount is percentage-based or amount-based.
5. Enter the allowed discount value.
6. Choose the sales channel or location where the discount may be used.
7. Set start and end dates if the discount is temporary.
8. Click Save.

Verify at POS

1. Open POS.
2. Select a product included in the price list or discount rule.
3. Confirm the cashier sees only the prices and discounts allowed for the active setup.
4. Remove the item from the cart after testing if the sale is not real.

Treat price list and discount setup as a manager task. Cashiers should sell from approved options instead of typing unapproved prices during checkout.
